Default Leopard2 A6 Tracks on Abrams - do they fit?

Looking to buy metal tracks with rubber pads for my Abrams.

a seller has them on eBay for $160

another seller has the Leo2 A6 tracks with rubber pads for $100

they are the same exact track, right?

thanks.

p.s. when upgrading to metal tracks, the zinc alloy gear box is not enough...make sure to get STEEL

No they are not, the Abrams tracks have differently shaped rubber pads than the Leo, the overall track construction is also slightly different. However, the Leo tracks do fit the Abrams sprockets.

Yes they will, but like I said, they will not be accurate.

Thank you.

Fortunately I can deal with slightly less than 100% accurate for
a. Better performance
b. To save nearly $80

happy tanking

Yes, there were concerns on another thread about the M1 metal tracks being too brittle (the metal at some places is really thin). The M1 and Leo 2 were built with NATO standardization in mind, which most likely explains why the tracks are compatible with each other.
