Those look like early Asiatam boxes. I have them in a couple of Stugs.

That's exactly what they are, from when they were labeled Taigen. They quit making and selling these right about the time I got into the hobby so mom and pop places that still have them in stock are the only place to get them. I even checked asiatam and they don't have them anymore, either. In my humble opinion these are the very best non-Tamiya gearboxes out there right now (I'm not saying Tamiya GBs are better, I've just never seen a Tamiya GB so I don't know if they're better or worse). If I find anymore I'll snap them up! These are the GBs in my Jagdpanther and I absolutely love them. MUCH more quiet than steel. If they ever get smart and bring these back I'll be the first in line to buy them.

Mine have been good also. The Mato 2.0 are equal,(IMO)but they don't have the low profile
