HL has a ton of affiliates/partners/not exactly sure what their relationship is. They all do things differently though, many have their own upgrades and fixes (gearboxes or metal parts, etc) of the original HL products, dont write them off so quickly.

AFAIK, the related companies are

IMEX/Taigen
Mato
Torro? Matorro? Are they with mato?
Waltersons

They are all different companies.
Ive been told by a friend that has a few Matorro tanks that the plastic disentigrates over several years. Henglong tanks don't seem to do that.

They all kinda look the same because they all copy each other or use the same molds from one manufacturer. Tagien does to some degree but they venture out and add more detail and metal parts and metal turrets that are different than the henglong ones. But their Sherman hull looks to be a copy of the henglong upper hull.

Patchcon where are you located? Mato is a Canadian RC On-line retailer that carries Torro Tanks. There is no such thing as a Matorro R/C Tank.

Hello Just to keep the record straight.. TAIGEN TANKS and TORRO TANKS are only available through IMEX MODEL CO INC and our DEALERS in North America...TORROs Headquarter is in Germany They are not available from MATO in CANADA .or CHINA. MATORRO is a tank brand that was and still is Made In China .... That product and some parts are still available from MATO in CHINA/CANADA and TORRO [parts] in EUROPE It is a little confusing ..WALTERSONS is totally independent of others except that it is Distributed Through IMEX MODEL CO INC in the USA and CANADA. Hope this helps Thanks Bossman

Bossman thanks for setting me straight, didn't know Maotrro was a brand. Always saw Torro and thought Mato was selling them. That's what I get for closing the circle.
