Default Anyone Tried Converting This E100 Kit to RC Tank?

http://www.store-juckenburg.de/index...roller=product

The Resin E100 tank from juckenburg. I am thinking of getting this kit to "study" how the E100 hull (esp. the suspension) should look like and hence I could start my own project.

I tried to google about this kit but could not find any information about the conversion.

Actually, I will still be getting the Ludwigs kit. Just that I need something as a reference esp. for the suspension. So I will be combining this kit and the ludwigs kit together. Using the ludwig hull, this kit use the road wheels and suspension parts and maybe turret

look for my build thread...I used some king tiger wheels with some 2 inch ID pvc piping to increase them to the correct dia. for tracks i used widened KT tracks.....suspension is hinglong although the tank is to heavy for the springs. I making some helper springs for the front and real wheels as we speak ...I have also changed the gun....needed something bigger than a 88.

Hi mustclime,

http://www.rctankregiment.com/rctank...5e584e94895d4d

I think this is your thread right? Yes, I have been reading it over and over again (at least 10 times!!).

Its an awesome build!!

Btw, regarding the gun, I have emailed Chris from Ludwig. He said he should be able to custom a gun barrel. This is because I am thinking of mounting a "fictional" 150mm L/55 gun onto the Maus turret.

Btw, I am also toying with the idea of adding reactive armour onto the tank (similar to M60A1). Not sure if it will look great although I have done it in the past with a tiny 1/72 panther F. The purpose is to make the E100 look more heavily armoured.

Of course, Germans never had reactive armour but I am not exactly into historical accuracy here.

If you do the research, the maus turret was never suppose to go on the e100...if you put the maus turret on it will be the same as the porsche on the tiger 2( they made about 50 of these because Dr Porsche per ordered them to try to lock in the contract). If you decide to mount on on the e100, make sure to do something like the razed turret ring the p tiger2 had to avoid the shot trap under the front of the turret....there is a build thread on here as well but the search function on the site sucks.....as for the 150mm.....it was never planed, they wanted to mount the 126mm from the jgtiger.

Hi! Thanks for the information!! Yes, I realised that the jagdtiger gun is the actual gun intended for the E100. But just that I feel its way too small. I want something big and fierce looking. For the turret, I thought the maus turret looks better than the Krupp E100 turret (just my own opinion). But I am not really trying to make the tank look historically accurate, just something which I want to look good, thats all.
