Tanks, what else?
We are in Moscow of the moment. Thursday we went to Kubinka and Snigiri. I will have some pretty extensive photos to post including a good amount regarding the Snigiri semi late Tiger 1. I have to throroughly examine the Snigiri photos but he looks like a very late hull with a late mid turret with the wrong mantlet and a patch on the left side of the turret. He is pretty much empty inside although most of the transmission is in him. We will be to home late next week and I'll start posting the photos.

I don't have full net access here but all the photos were uploaded from the camera to a chip. Wait until you see the tanks at the meet today in Moscow. 55 of them with some really nice pieces including a stunning Jagdtiger and a Porsche Tiger 1 and a T34 transport, basically a supply transport built on a T34 chassis. We to back to the meet tomorrow morning, roughly 02:00 East Coast time.

Snigiri Tiger first photo. He is latest model. The round circles in the metal are tests of the surface hardness. The circles around the impact areas are to test for changes in the surface hardness after impact. Many more photos will be added at the end of the week.

Winners of the junior drivers contest. The road course was very well thought out and not easy. It was all flat but there were plenty of obstacles to challange both the junior and senior drivers.

Yup. Great bunch of lads there and more than a few of the tanks are really well done. I'll get more photos up in the next couple days, it was a long trip home and the last leg from Kerch to Sevastopol was really tough, strong winds and deluge rains for most of the way. What should have been four or so hours took over seven.

Last batch for today. We tried to get seldom seen details, for instance the rain drain in the pils socket and the inside of the gunner's sight cover. Also the weld details and rain drain on the copula and the splash shield around the turret base.

I didn't know there were two of you from Latvia, I remember meeting one. At least your journey was shorter than ours, we had to go by car to Krasnodar and by train from that city to Moscow. Many of you presented beautiful models, the attention to detail was first rate.
We could not bring a tank but in the next two days I'll post some photos of the T34/76. The inside will be of particular interest, it was done by my good friend Daryl in US for another friend of ours.

Looks like this Tiger was a range target for testing? Nice detail shots. Thanks for sharing.
