Default My first Tamiya big kit!

I have always wanted to build a Tamiya kit from start to finish. I have a Tamiya Tiger 1 , but it was bought already built. So with the tax return my wife got new shoes etc... And I got...

I picked it up from a local tanker whe never got to it. And he even threw in the Fatuba 4WD radio and receiver at no extra charge.
Now if I can just finish working on my taigen projects I can start on this beauty!

Sweet.

Hold onto that Attack with both hands. It's one of the best radios you'll ever use.

That is a great kit. The only thing I would add to it is road wheel bearing set. Either Mitosal or this one. Lucky you!!!!!

Not sure how much you want to mod it but if your planning on doing any IR battling or just alot of use you really need Daryl Turner's spring loaded idler system. Otherwise
throwing and breaking track is common to see. Also a metal elevation arm with that long barrel is highly recommended as well. Again none of this is a must, but will vastly improve reliability. More fun on the dirt and less in the shop.

Benny thanks. I have heard the idler needs updating and will probably do that. I am sure I will get carried away with upgrades once I start

If you run the plastic stock track, keep plenty of spare links handy.... Not a dramatic warning just a friendly tip that the KT links can break more frequently than other types. It happens to my club members here in the desert. Just a quick fix.
