What transmitters are you using that allow you to have different f/r and l/r sticks ?

That's a pretty funky system as you're effectively using four channels to control two motors.

What controls do you use for turret turn and elevation, as that's what the other stick is generally used for when running the tracks in "one stick" mode.

Adrian.

I'm not using ALL four channels for two motors. I'm using the right stick for: UP is forward and DOWN is reverse. Then on the left stick: move the stick LEFT and the tank turns left or RIGHT and it turns right. GREAT!

The other two channels are: right lever RIGHT turns the turret right, LEFT turns it left.

On the left lever: UP makes the barrel go up, and DOWN on that left lever makes the barrel go down.

At any rate, I just went out and put all the original Armortek electrics in, turned the 7 channel radio on, then turned on the power. The sprockets work GREAT! F/R and turns like it's suppost to. I'm sure the traverse and elevation will work too.

Thanks Adrian! YOU told me to pull 'that' bridge pin and IT WORKS!

Mike

Doh! I realised that a while later

It seemed odd to me to split the turret and tank controls between the two sticks, as I prefer turret on one stick and tank on the other, but horses for courses I guess

Glad you got it sorted !

Well, after over two days of mess ups, touch ups, and naughty words, I figured I'd about done enough damage to the paint job I was trying to do. So I put on some of the markings and drove it out into the sun to see how it looked. It could be a lot better paint job but it's the best I can do...

I have a couple more markings to paint on and I have to work on getting the tools and cables painted and installed. Plus it still needs the 'wear and weathering' which takes a lot of think'in and time, but I'll get it looking better. Probably put on the headlight tomorrow.

I reinstalled the original Armortek electrics because Adrian straightened me out on how to change that controller pin and it now works GREAT. Thanks Adrian!

The Panther is longer than the Tiger and is just a shade shorter and narrower. I just wanted to take some quick pics and show that I ain't been SLACK'IN out in the garage!

Mike (...and you can see that 'Jason Statham' has been reassigned from a Heavy Tank outfit to a Panther Unit!)

Good Morning! Yesterday, when I got done painting the markings on, I saw how BRIGHT the colors were so I did the usual thing of lightly spraying a distant overcoat of tan paint over everything. After I brought it in back up on the bench, I noticed that wherever I touched the overspray it would flatten some, leaving a dull mark. Figured it was the 'hairs' of the overspray so planned on getting a tack cloth and gently wiping it down.

But this morning I got me one'a them 'Moments of Clerty'! I'd just USE that 'dust' look to the ADVANTEGE! When ya get sour grapes, make LEMONADE!

I got an empty pair of boots and STOMPED and SCRUFFED'EM around where the crew would walk. The marks will probably wear off over time but this'll do til then.

And here's a view of the inside wiring setup with the Armortek electrics and of the two cooling fans I installed on each blower grill. They have a separate switch so I can leave'em on blowing out even when the tanks turned off until the inside cools off (if it's been out in the sun and got hot inside) enough to protect the electrics/motors.

Mike (now, out to the bench to paint some more markings!)

Nice paint Mike. The Panther fits better with Jason's "Transporter" style of driving, Faster then the Tiger for sure!!!

OOHH MY GOODNESS GARY! I sure didn't need my coffee to WAKE UP this morning! THAT is WILD! I've been grinning and laughing since I saw it a few minutes ago! That's GREAT!

And I think the song sure covers all us r/c tank enthusiasts 'Going Against The Grain'! Trains, planes, automobiles, boats, seem to be the 'norm' in the r/c community but WE'RE PROUDLY 'TANKERS'!

Heck, if I'd of known you were going to do something like that, I'd have taken better pictures instead of just quick snapshots! LOL! THANKS!

And Thank You Bob and Rudy! This paint job was just a lot of (as Bob Ross sez) 'Happy Little Accidents'. I'd think I got the airbrush spray where I planned then saw overspray to the side of it, SO I'd spray some more over to cover up more of the 'accident'. I finally got tired of chasing mistakes so this is how it ended up.

Thanks Again Gary! And Thank You Nancy! (some more laughing and grins!!) Mike
