Default Armortek

ETA Sorry 12K seemed very high, so I rechecked Tank= $6432.00, Motion= $1962.00, Recoil= $471.00, Smoke=$240, Sound = $623.00, Only $ 9727.00. Had a few Beers last night when I checked this out.

Just priced their new Panther A. At today's exchange rate 8208 BP= $12310.10 With sound, motion, smoke and recoil. Plus you get to build it. Anybody?

I used this on-line up-to-the minute dollar/pound conversion thingy to figure out that price 4390 Pounds for the basic Panther A STATIC kit (with shipping) is about $6439 delivered.

But, as I most recently found out, the Motion Pack with the motors, mounts, nuts/screws, will be roughly $2000 (remember, I ordered ONLY the motors/mounts for this P4).

It's the recoil, sound, smoke add-ons that will 'break ya up'.... THAT'S WHY I prefer USED Armortek stuff cause it does come around for sale occasionally (and at 'used' prices)!

The biggest problem you have is the shipping cost to the Americas one also has to remember the removal of the VAT hitherto the cost of the kit with postage to the Americas is Ł4390 the cost if you live in England with the postage and VAT is Ł4973 making the kit somewhat Ł600 cheaper if you live in the Americas, in fact the cost of the kit in the Americas is the cheapest in the world.

Just now, after seeing on the news that England has voted to leave the EU, I rechecked the Pound/Dollar exchange rate. As I mentioned in my above post, the price (with shipping) of the new Panther A was $6439.

But this morning with the current exchange rate, the price would be $6016.50. And if I would have waited (known the future) to order the motors for this P4, I could have gotten them roughly $100 less than three days ago.

I wonder if England will align it's currency with the U.S. and Canada like the commentators on the news said is possible a few days ago. I don't know or follow 'World Affairs' markets/politics that closely but I have loosely paid attention to this.

Just interesting 'tidbits'... Mike

Mike, and anybody else considering an Armortek do not delay the pound is already gaining strength on the dollar from this morning and will no doubt be back where it was yesterday very soon.

Mike these commentators are not worth listening to England will never align with the dollar just as it has never aligned with the Euro, not to mention article 50 has not been invoked as Cameron said he would and will no doubt be left to the new Prime minister if indeed it is invoked.

England now has to negotiate coming out of Europe this can take 2 more years in the meantime nothing has changed.

To be honest Cameron is not a strong leader the last strong leader this country had was Maggie Thatcher since then we have had a succession of puppets and weak leaders.
