I can't find the Sherman or the Panther F. Tried searching Panther F and got nothing. I'm going to the website that's linked in Erik's signature here on RCU. What the heck am I doing wrong? Has anyone got a link to any kind of Panther F for sale at Imex?
Never mind. Found it.
I didn't notice that "IMEX Model Company / Taigen Tanks" is actually two different links. I was using the wrong half.

Mine arrived Thursday night and got to the photo's today. Top hull appears to be the same as the 75mm Sherman. As you can see from the photo's, the recoil unit is a different color. I don't know if there are any changes in the unit other than the color. The barrel elevation is the same in that you have to let it do it's own thing when you pull the left stick down but it seems much more crisp in it's function. The blue ground wire for the recoil was broken upon arrival but a little solder took care of that small issue. My left track is longer than the right, looks like I'll have to remove a link to stop the track from wrapping up at the drive sprocket. Other than that, the tank runs great. The top hull may end up on my Tamiya lower. I've never done a swap like that before and it may be just beyond my skill level, we'll see. Overall, very nice tank, runs well. What I like is the turret, nice detail. The lower hull seems thicker than the 75mm. Love the bearings in the road wheels and idlers and the metal suspension. Future plans, maybe an E8, IBU2, new paint, and to install the series III gear boxes.
Nice tank IMEX.

If Imex could only build these with a Tamiya compatible/ready battle system in them then you really couldn't want or ask for any more. It just seems such a waste to need to delete the electronics entirely just to be TBS compliant. I my self have a solution for this when I get mine but it seems it would just be so much easier if they came this way.

Erik may jump in and let us know the capabilities and eta on that.

Yes the tracks come with the 76mm and are available separately. I'll soon have repair kits up soon with a few links and EECs so you don't have to buy a full set if you lose or break any.

Edit: Also yes, more and more parts are going from white/tan plastics to black. It just looks way better IMO

The only thing I did to put the taigen hull on the tamiya chassis was remove the plastic tab screwed inside the front glacis, and the two metal hooks in the back. You could probably move the release bracket over to the tamiya hull with some work but its easier to just make plastic tabs on the hull and glue magnets to them and magnets to the tamiya hull.
you then could use plastic card and make fenders like the tamiya hull. The hard part is flair g the front curve. You could just cut them off and cut off the tamiya ones and put them on the taigen hull

I didnt have one im that chassis when I did it.
you would have to remove the rear legs on the ttaigen hull that have the metal clips screwed to them, then make magnet tabs further forward.

Installed the IBU2 today and started looking at placing the top hull and IBU2 on a Tamiya lower.
