Question HL Old motor VS jump ahead 4 years new motors

Hi guy's my old walker bulldog I just fixed I was just playing around with it and man it's crazy fast! It has the old white cap motors in it...now the ? my new leo and sherman I got recently are like snails compared to the old walker bulldog are the newer motor much less RPM?
Or what is different?

Take a look at you gear boxes and see what the true ratio is in each of them. That may be the answer to some of the speed change. Also the size of the drive gear can affect the overall speed two drives at the same speed but on with a 1/4" more diameter will cover more ground at the same speed.
