For transmiter I'm looking at either a cheap spektrum DXE or the 10 channel fly sky radio. Any recommendations?

would a Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter w/ Module & 8ch Receiver (Mode 2) (v2 Firmware) be good for the imex/taigen tiger 1 that im getting? or a

I know the 6 ch would work but im leaning more towards the nine ch. not that much of a price difference.

Evergreen is very versatile. Can get it in all kinds of dimensions and can heat to bend it as well. Watch drilling it as heat will open the ID desired literally melting around the bit.

No sweat, was about to post again in your other thread on subject. Others may have materials to work with as well such as fillers, plasticard, etc . I still use squadron putty for filling on plastic. Sorry for the hijack OP!

So after playing for a bit i have taking it apart. There are extra holes in the hull from where switches from the older system would have gone. And im going to take out the battery box. Probably no tonight though lol. Those motors are so tiny lol.

Did run great out of the box though. Very happy.

I'll fill the other holes with left over from the box. Trying to figure out where to put the on off switch. . Im thinking where the tank commander would sit. Any suggestions?

I'd keep it in the hull somewhere. One less wire to hang up the upper/turret when you take it off for maintenance. Or if your going to put it in the turret, put a mini jst connector in so you can disconnect to take the hull apart.

I know Im new at this, but how are you going to get your battery out to charge it.
Im getting one of these for my tiger 1, that way I wont have to keep lifting the body off to charge it.
I can just have the end by one of the hatches and pull it out to charge.

The on off switch is a 3 pole switch. You can resolder it and add a charging cable to it. I am off to work but ill post a pic tonight showing. But my plan is to have a charging hookup so i can charge with the battery still in.
