Default 21st Century Stuart Tank missing remote

I have a chance to pick up a 1/6th scale 21st Century Stuart RC Tank. The guy selling it can't find or doesn't have the remote controller. From what I've been able to find, they were on 49mhz or possibly 27mhz? Is it possible to figure out what frequency it's on? There seem to be rc tank controllers on ebay (not 21st century). If the frequency was correct, would on of them work? Anything else I should be looking at in regards to condition would be appreciated. I'm not looking to do serious off road stuff. Just drive it around on grass at rc warbird events. I converted a GI joe jeep to rc and I thought it would be fun to have a tank to go with it. If any of you guys have one for sale I may be interested in that as well although shipping might be a problem. I'm going to Toledo in a few weeks for the Weak Signals show so if someone had on maybe we could meet there?
Thanks
Royz

Yep, got it! It's on the way! I PM'ed ya this morning right after I got home from sending it. I also sent the original circuit boards so the frequencies would match.

You didn't get my PM? (about 10 am)

Mike

He thebeenyb do you have tanks? I have 2 1/6 stuarts. I am trying to get mine going. maybe I can pick your brain. I am about 2 hours from you.
I have a new tank that just clicks and 1 that runs but you have to hold antenna close. the other I forget I think it runs but is missing part of a wheel. think its stripped. I also have a 1/9 abrams. maybe we can touch base thru text. 610-577-6777

thank you

Sounds like the slip clutch is worn on one and you may want to take the TX apart on the other one to see if the antenna base is still connected, though I don't remember these tanks having that great of a range to begin with.
