I would like to ask if anyone knows if a Turnigy RC Switch can be used in parallel to the main power switch in a 1/16th scale Tamiya Tank to remotely control the tank's startup?
Thanks,

The Tamiya switch controls power from the battery, which means it has to be on for the Rx to be receiving power. Unless you plan on running a separate battery for your Rx, but I'm not sure if that'll still work since the turnigy switch has to be grounded with a separate power source, it's only the gate.
I know I bought a bunch of them a while ago with hopes of doing a lot of cool things, but it's not an easy setup and certainly isn't a plug and play type of config.
If you just mean Tamiya's engine startup with power on, they designed that function with the Futaba Attacks. Using an aircraft Tx won't do it. I originally thought that it had to do with going to 2.4 with frequency hoping and binding issues but the 2.4 Attacks do it no problem.

This may help. Your interrupting the signal and not the actual power. This being said your tank is in sleep mode so the power is still there for something to go wrong if your tank receives an errand signal from somewhere. To cut the battery power, like Ausf said you'll probably need to have aux power source to the RX for the switch.
