Lucky kiddies.

Those tires look good, but every bruder I've looked at for a project has come with the tires that don't have a back sidewall. I guess the good tires only come on certain trucks? I like a couple of their trailers, but again, they come with the crappy tires.

As TheBennyB said, most of those guys just use the cab/bed from the Bruder trucks.

So far I have bought 5 of the Bruder trailers that are good for carrying military AFVs, 5 construction types, and some parts. But this M35 4x4 is making me goofy looking for conversion possibilities. Your project has added fuel to the fire and it really looks good ---the upgrades you did to improve it are interesting.rex

I took a look at the 1/16 Diecast section of the 3000toys outfit and found two items I would love to have. One is $90, the other one is $310. Guess which one fits my budget ----

Going a modified route with the tan truck. Started by blacking out everything and desert sand on the cab and bed. Lifted it by flipping the leaf mounts on the axles and it also let me adjust the pinion angles a bit so they are better than they were at stock height. Going to 3D print some goodies for it soon.

You've got a 3D printer, ya lucky dog? Have you seen what they're doing at RCTW? One guy is doing rims to use the Lego tires, and another is making a deuce and a half but he's not using much 3D printed stuff. I'm trying to find someone over here that wants to try rims, since I have some Highway 61 tires to make a Hanomag SS-100. One of the guys in the UK is printing me a body for it, but he doesn't have tires like this and it's kind of a pain to send one to England, eh? Here's one of the designs Alwyn Turner did, and he shares the files, think you could print these?

I do at work and I could print a set to see how they would clean up and fit. If they turn out nice then I'll send you a set or two! It's an FDM printer, so I'm somewhat limited on the details it will print out but wheels shouldn't be too bad. We printed 75% of this 1/10 M1083 I built earlier this year. I really want to do a 1/16 version, just waiting to see how scaling it down to 1/16 will do on our printer.

Flimsy links are good for longevity, but if you want it to turn better it'll need better steering links. Man this is awesome, I'm big into 1/10 crawlers and 3D printing some parts for this truck to accept a good mini servo and replacing the electronics will be easy peasy. I might have to use the 6x6 chassis to make a smaller version of my 3D printed M1083!

Good work on the tan truck. If you want to try rims I can send you a tire. And maybe think about hubcaps to go over the lego tires. I can see those tires being useful for multiple projects if we can print a hub cap to get the right bolts and such.

Does anyone have any of the stock wheels and tires they would be willing to part with? I need at least two spares, more would be better for my plan.
