Default Mato 1:16 Full Metal Panzer III Ausf L Measurement Accuracy

Hello!

I am bad at math so could someone tell how meticulous is Mato full metal Panzer III Ausf L (1223-M Mato 1/16 Complete 100% Metal Panzer III Tank) when compared it to the real Panzer III Ausf L?

Lenght: 396 mm.

Width: 183 mm.

Height: 180 mm.




Panzer III Ausf L


Length: 6.28m/ 20ft 7in

Hull Width: 2.95m/ 9ft 8in

Height: 2.50m/ 8ft 2in

OK, I'm not great at math either but to convert meters to mm move the decimal 3 places and that would make full sized length of 6.28 meters come out to 6280mm. Divide that by 16 and you have scale 392.5 mm, not 396 mm so they fudged it a bit, not much. The scale width is wider than the model at 184.375mm and the scale height is lower than the model at 156.25 mm.

Does that mean that Mato Panzer III hull lenght is about 3.5 mm longer than it should be?

Yup. Keep in mind one inch is 25.4 mm so 3.5 is not very much, less than a hair over 1/8th inch.
