Default TK22 glitches?

Hello everyone,

Have anyone experienced glitches with TK22, for example unable to trigger machine gun or startup the engine (sound)? ...but after a minute or two, it suddenly working. I can't figure out whether it is radio or board problem. I also use the same radio with other RC vehicle without any issue.

When I had TK22s, most of my glitches were do to low battery voltage, seemed mine only worked good when battery was close to full charge, and wiring connections.
I had Taigen tanks with TK22s and the wires for the plugs were always braking. I was always repairing weak connectors and soldering.
Try a good fully charged battery and make sure all connections are good.

I did tried with battery almost full. 3 out of 4 bars. Probably the cables between receiver & tk22 is breaking. That is good idea. I don't have extra but I'll try swap them around. Thanks!

how is it if you move potmeter/ trim button a little up ore down, even if you say radio is working fine on other models. I have 2 hobbyking radios of the cheapes kind, and they work fine, but sometime I must give a little extra trim one ore the other direction to activate feature like MG/cannon etc. other times they are fine. Swapp tk over to new radio, no problem.

I did try trim & also subtrim with no positive effect.

When turning on the tank, once it connected to the transmitter, it'll fire boom cannon, repeatedly with interval between shots. So the throttle stick, the multifuntion stick, not in correct position from the get go. The throttle stick is centered correctly which I confirmed with my other rc vehicle. Also to note that when I moved the throttle stick up & down, pretty much like throttle stick calibration, I'm able to trigger both engine on/off & machine gun. However, whenever I triggered the boom cannon, I'll need to do this all over again.

I think I want to try extend the throttle stick travel >100% again. I did tried it before without positive effect though but I probably didn't try both up & down at the same time.

Edit: so far I found that-
  • cables that connects the receiver & tk22 are fine.
  • Consistency where whenever I fire the cannon, I will need to do throttle stick calibration afterward.
  • This is more of theory because I don't have another dual-stick transmitter to test but I think this issue more like radio issue or specifically compatibility issue with the radio I have which is Walkera Devo 7 & tk22. Unlike standard ESC, tk22 forgets the throttle stick calibration whenever I shoot cannon.
Btw, which transmitter you guys use with your tk22?
