Default How to charge this battery?

I bought this 7.4V Li battery for my Heng Long P3. I cut the connector off of it that came with it and put the Heng Long Tamiya connector in its place.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/7-4V-1500mA...r/323043050526

I have a Venom PR2 charger. On the Lithium Ion setting, it has 2S - 7.2V, and the next step up is 3S - 10.8 V.

This is a 2S battery but is 7.4 V.

Should I charge it on the 2S-7.2V setting?

It came with its own USB style charger which I'm sure you all will disapprove of.

It sounds like your battery is a Lithium Polymer and not Lithium Ion. Lithium Polymer batteries have a nominal voltage of 3.7v per cell which is why yours says 2s 7.4v on the label.
I use LIPOS a lot and only ever charge them on a LIPO charger making sure that the balance connector is plugged in. LIPOS are extremely dangerous if not charged properly so beware.

Good luck

Ah, yes, I mis-read the specs on the page. It is Li-Po.

The web page is confusing. In specs it says Li-Po, but down below it says Li-ion.

You should be able to switch the charger to LiPo from Li-Ion.

I can already charge Li-Ion, but I cannot find a setting for LiPo. Looks like I need to read the manual:

I figured it out. You have to go into the program settings and switch to LiPo mode.
