Default Heng Long Controller Help?

I have an interesting one. My tank movement controls are wrong. What is supposed to be forward is making the tank turn right. Reverse is making it turn left. Turning right is forward. And lastly turning left is reverse. This is an odd one for me, this was after I installed the steel gearbox. Tried searching for a solution on the internet but no joy. Any help or ideas is much appreciated.

Check to ensure the battery lead to the receiver is in the correct slot. I had a similar thing happen to me and it was caused by this. Drove me crazy until I realized what I had done. The slot for the battery lead should be color coated red on the newer receivers.

Maybe the wires on the motors are different, compared to your old gearbox motors??
Sometimes they need to be switched arround.

Hahahahahaha omg I got it to work, what I did was copy the wiring from the plastic motors and did it to the metal motors, so I just tried multiple combinations till I finally got it to where forward was reverse and vice versa, so all I did was swap the input and voila! The controls are proper now. Thank you all for your inputs. (: geeze this was driving me nuts for the past few days.
