You are best off calling or emailing them. Their website is really messed up.

Default FMP Pz II Luchs

For anyone interested in 1/6 Luchs, FMP is well into their initial parts production for the short run they expect to finish mid-2021. Proto sample should be ready within 2 months.

Was told they only plan to do a run of 10 before proceeding with other projects so I have one reserved.

Yes, Metal Box is kaput. They left the modeling world a few years ago to focus on movie props. Not sure what became of their tools.

Full Metal Panzer - FMP- is a small 3 man shop several hours north of me in Wuxi, due west of Shanghai. They supply DKLM their fabled gearboxes, lower hulls & other assorted parts which are their bread & butter lines. For 1/6 models, besides the Luchs underway they have their PzIII - StuG pending if they see enough interest - as well a Tiger I working. Volume is small but quality very good. They also take on commission work for aftermarket upgrades from local owners of Armotek, HL & Warslug metal tanks. Heard some horror stories of Warslug's KT just last week from the few they actually sold locally - crazy given the cost!

I posted a thread on 11/1/19 with details & links. Their website is no longer up since they saw no need for it but Saer does maintain his Facebook & Instagram pages where you can see more photos of their work.

Jerry, you are most certainly on the list so no worries. Once the covid travel restrictions are over mid-March, I'll visit them & hope to see their prototype then. For now, I'll have to make do with WeChat.

Herrmill,
Do share the lowdown on War Slug - LOL. Besides the ridiculous price what else?

I am interested in FMP products as well, the 1/16 KT was looking really nice. Interesting to see how this works out - seems like Metal Box had a good thing going but suddenly tanked (pun intended).
I like their Instagram heading - "making RC tanks that don't suck"
Keep us posted,
Bob

Bob, was told just 3 KT were sold locally with 2 fails over mechanical breakdowns. Don't have anymore details than that but given that percentage, absolutely crazy they'd not offer at home service given the asking price.

The 1/16 KT is on hold pending work on their larger models now. They're already looking ahead & interested in developing smaller models with focus on light & medium tanks, something out of the ordinary.

Do contact Saer & let him know your interest. Its on his list & all he's looking for are several commissions to make it happen. I've already told him I'd prefer a late model with Saukopf.
