Hello Tankers and r/c enthusiasts, A.C.E and the AAF tank museum will be hosting another great r/c tank event at the AAF tank museum in Danville VA September 13-15. Come check out the action of fully realistic tanks using IR to battle. We will be using stock apple configuration unless the tank has a fixed structure then TFA is allowed. No IFA is permitted. We'll be running the "Rolling Thunder" type scenarios which emphasize team work and variable we will apply to battles as we go through the weekend. This is a great chance to check out 1/16 tanking at it's best even if you don't have a tank or not IR equipped. Not too mention the museum is an AMAZING place to visit and see all kinds of vehicles, small arms, uniforms, etc. Make sure to get your tanks in running order to make inspection go quick. If you need a hotel room for the weekend most stay at the Comfort Inn which is just a couple minutes down the road from the museum. If you have any questions at all PM me or post up. I've include the museum's website as well as the weekend schedule and a "cheat sheet" for Rolling Thunder. As for inspections we will be doing a quick one over for the following criteria to make an even playing field. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new ones!
Tank dies according to class.
Tank takes hits from 4 cardinal angles.
No apple obstructions.
IR emitter tube 6mm ID with depth of 9mm to front of bulb minimum.
Scale ON road speed for tank.
Flash or barrel recoil.

Decisions, decisions! My new secret wepon is up and running and I am looking forward to running it at the AAF battle field but that same weekend there is a IPMS event at Simpsonville SC which I want to attend.
I am also going to be helping out with the Armortek event there at the AAF museum the preceding weekend, it's going to be the first gathering of the Armortek models here in the US and I am really looking forward too seeing some of the "big" models up close.
Either way I am definitely making the Nov 9th weekend there at the museum, especially since it is the last of this years events.

I think I will have t pass on this one, the wife & I had a blast at the Armortek show this weekend as "hired tank drivers". Barring any unforseen problems I will definitely make the Nov battle with 2 new tanks!
Hope you guys have a good time this coming weekend, I'll be at an IPMS show in South Carolina.

I have a quick question, Do you usually run battles a full day on Sunday or do you knock it off a bit early? I am thinking about showing up Saturday afternoon and spending some time on Sunday morning.
