The newest tanks henglong has released are lightyears ahead of the old stuff, which has not really been upgraded. The pro versions of their tanks offer metal track, metal wheels with ball bearings, metal suspension arms, IR, airsoft, recoil, adjustable idlers and they shoot at tamiya tanks. The draw back is their apple sucks. If you buy an after market apple from legostore, they then take hits from tamiya perfectly and you are in the game much cheaper than before.
fsttanks has dont many writeups un the newer henglong 6.0 tanks here and on hobbysquak forum.

Could someone post a reference to these other battle unit apples? I'm unfamiliar with this..

I would like to see them also. Are they plug and play with the 6.0 Heng Long tanks? Anyone try fighting one with a Tamiya tank? I hate to assume anything so does the Heng Long tanks IR emitter have the ability to hit a Tamiya tank?

Rich, you're absolutely right that heng long has advanced by light years, so now I'm just hoping that they go the rest of the way and make their tanks truly compatible, with different weight classes and reduced speed for simulated battle damage. I think that's really all that would hold these tanks up from fighting at Danville. The other rule concern was the muzzle flash, but I understand the new heng long Electronics have the capability of providing a muzzle flash, but you lose your Airsoft capabilities when you put in the muzzle flash LED.

Do these Lego apples have the four LEDs like the Tamiya or the impact, or do you have to add a flash ring?

Just Googled the Lego store and found nothing but Legos. So obviously I'm not in the right place. Help please.

i just looked at the Taigen web site and found some Heng Long Pro series tanks. They have Zinc gear boxes. Are there two different Pro series tanks, one with Zinc gear boxes and one with steel boxes? Thanks
