Default T-34/85 Compatibility

Hey guys. I am doing some research for a find who has the newest version of the Henglong t-34/85. He was wondering if he can install the Taigen quick detach latch system onto thesthe henglong upper hull so that it will work with the Taigen metal chassis. Can any of you guys confirm or deny whether this will work?

It could work. You will need to mount these elements.

I've used magnets to gain easy access into the lower hull and has worked well. There are a few videos on YouTube that show the basic concept.

Make sure the rear mounted blades are secure.. Nothing worse than the blade loosening and twisting slightly and preventing the upper and lower hull from separating.
I do not touch the taigen latch system in hulls, but every one that had screw together hulls has been converted to magnets.

I have converted all my Taigen quick release Armour to Neo-Dymion Magnets,
Taigens system is good but in my opinion Magnets are better..

I actually really like the Taigen system since I do a lot of rock crawling and tumbling with my tank. I feel like it more securely holds the upper hull to the lower hull. For IR (or a Henglong tank) though, I think I would prefer magnets too easily and quickly get into the tank. However, I don't find it hard to just flip the latch for a little more security and peace of mind that the tank won't just launch the upper hull and rip out all of the electronics with it! lol

I find the Taigen latch system a little fiddly so I usually remove it. If any part of the system is out of alignment it can give you problems opening it.
