Try alliexpress, you can often find an empty hull there or a HL static tank. Its the tank but no motors or electronics

I totally agree. Sometimes you need to clean your house and that's when you find great old things that were forgotten a long time ago. Never thought about starting a project tank and I guess you need to be truly passionate to finish this kind of project. I would very much like to help you, but I don't have any walker bulldog from HL available at the moment. Try to be patient, and I'm sure that sooner or later you'll find what you need. Nowadays it's easy to scrap your car. You need to have a car, ID and a certain amount of time to get it done.
