Default Heng Long M41A3 Walker Bulldog

This is actually my first tank I acquired, got it specifically to play with in the winter, buying it from an Amazon seller as a "modified" tank. Basically it's a pro addition to which the seller added a 360 degree turret ring, slip ring and switched the battery to NiMH 3800mah battery with a Tamiya plug.

My M-41 has been slightly modified, but I can swap back and forth with the original upper hull and turret if I want to. Kind of a 2-in-1 tank. I'm mainly posting this so you can check out the M-41 sounds that come with the clark tk-20. I really like the engine start.

I'm good with the Heng Long TK7 for now, I have a lot more mechanical upgrades on the list before I consider messing with the electronics, sound is really kind of secondary for me at this point, right now it's completely tore down, waiting on metal shocks and some other stuff, repainted it it while it's down, Tamiya TS-28 for the base anyway.

Got my shocks, got some paint slopped on them and began the royal pita process of getting them installed, which is probably silly since I have metal suspension arms coming so I'll have to do it again, but I wanted to get it back together to see how it ran after adding an axle bearing and metal idler and performing some voodoo with toothpaste on the gear box. Not sure why they ship the "pro" version without a metal idler but oh well.

I have a spare pair of metal idlers with rubber tires. They're the same as the roadwheels and also the same as the metal roadwheels and idlers I put on my M-26.

I bought two sets from Toucan, already have them installed on the Walker and the Pershing, also have metal suspension arms for both on order, was going to order the road wheels for the Walker, but I ended up grabbing a deal on a plastic gearbox Challenger II since I have a spare steel gearbox with no home.

Got everything installed except for the old drive axle bearing, the housings I installed them in cracked, looking for a better option without much luck, might end up making something, but it runs beautifully and surprisingly quiet, ripped it all over the grass and dirt, would not throw a track. This was the first tank I bought, it's been abused, repainted in horrid ways and a bunch of parts are missing, I'm seriously considering just buying a new plastic version and swapping everything over.

Went ahead and got another M41, Toucan had a great price on the plastic version, was just drowning in silliness with the old one, sometimes you just have to reboot, got the base coat on, pretty happy with it

Everything back together, didn't even notice before but the turret drive on this thing is almost silent. Now I'm trying to decide on wash colors, I have some Vallejo colors, OD and a ODish khaki I'm going to play with on the battery door and see what it looks like.
