It depends on who's clock you are reading, as some of us have set our clocks to our time zone. I'm in the Eastern TZ too, and used -5 to get the clock to synchronise, therefore the default is GMT. Many boards do this, and confuse a heck of a lot of people. If you want to, you CAN set the clock to your local time zone. Here is how to do it:
- Go into your Settings (upper right, under your sign-in name & forum icons; or just click on your name at the left of any forum post)
- Go all the way down the second from the bottom, " Time Adjustment (in hour) ". Remember Eastern is -5 GMT, Central is -6, Mountain is -7, Pacific is -8.
No, I only know this as I had to do it for another piece of software thats TZ-dependant (and even lat/long dependant) years ago.
