Default Pershing

I got my Hen Long Pershing (Snow Leopard) in the mail, today. [sm=thumbup.gif] I like this one much better than the plain Tiger 1 (no sound or smoke), but I am already having problems. []

The smoke is awesome and the motor sounds are really good, but the machine gun sound, the cannon fire, and the tank recoil (back-up motion)have not worked at all.

At first the tank was running fine (other than the above mentioned effects), but after about ten minutes it seemed to overload and it would not move anymore. Now when I start it up, it will run for about 20 or 30 seconds and then the engine sound goes to a high idle (like a skipping CD) and the tank freezes up, once more. [&o]

I took the thing apart and had a look at the guts, but everything seems to be okay. I'm starting to wonder if it needs additional capacitors saudered in somewhere.

Any ideas, anyone?

Default RE: Pershing

After fooling around with the wires for about an hour, my wife read the manual and told me that the gun, cannon, and recoil effects only work when the tank is in "normal state" (which means no smoke).....imagine that....she actually read the directions. SHE READ THE DIRECTIONS!!! What is the world coming to?!!

So now the tank works better as long as the smoke is turned off, but I like the smoke. [&o]

After finally getting to drive the tank for an extended period of time, I noticed that the motor power seems to pulse between full power and about 2/3 power. In addition, the steering continues to turn even after I release the throttle stick, causing the tank to over-steer quite often.

I think that I got a lemon. [:-]

Have you tried using the trim for the steering on the remote, there is also a trim for the forward and backward movements. Mine was doing some of the things you described but after adjusting the trim settings find that it responds better now. Another thing I noticed is that while running it indoors it didnt respond as well as it did outside. ( perhaps too much interference )

regards
