Default Tamiya King Tiger Batttle System(Question?)

For the Tamiya King-Tiger kit(full option)
Does any body have any ideas for placement of IR diode(other than in the clip on the barrel)?
I was thinking of the small hole on the right side of mantlet(as you look at it).
Have any of you mounted it there, and if so ,does it perform well from that location?

Thanks!

Yep stick it there and it works fine, that's how I do it, but if you want to elevate/depress the beam you could look at enlarging the hole on the left side of the mantlet itself and mounting it there.

I don't have the KT, but I have a hole drilled through the mantle for both my Pershing and Sherman and they work well. [sm=thumbup.gif]

I say go for it.
