It works well. To be safe I would stick with 7.2v. It says that it can handle 8.4v but I think that I fried my first one using 8.4v. No trouble with my second unit. It is similar to a Tamiya dmd unit. I have used this in a henlong tiger, a tamiya tiger, and a bandai pz iv.

I have put this Rx/DMD into an older ,non S/S heng long Tiger......wished I would have gone with a plain ole S/S Heng Long controller unit(at least I would have gotten the sound and all).I personally was NOT happy with it for a few reasons.
First, the setup gave me a hard time! I followed directions to a "T",took many tries to get it to work the way I was happy with.
Second, I DID install the caps that come with it, and it still has that electrical sound/humm as if a transformer is about to blow!
Third....I now have NO turret rotation, gun elevation or BB fire capability........again, should have just got a S/S controller from Mato toys!!!!
All just my own opinion.......plus I gave up on most of my HL and am concentrating my time on my 3 Tamiyas(Tiger,King Tiger, Sherman) and my 1/6 Tiger

I think that I will stay away from it. Does anyone have an old TM01 laying around collecting dust? Not for me, my brother is looking for one. He is not sure that he wants to go all wth way with tanks, he is more of a flyboy (but he can't fly, keeps killing the planes
) If anyone has one, please let me know.

Yes, Bandai bought Imai. I believe that it is the same scale , 1/15 . I have not done much with the kits, I will take a closer look and then tell you more. The Imai gearboxes are different and it includes a turret rotation set-up. I wish that the Imai pz iv was in line with the Imai elefant, in the end it is almost the same as the bandai.
