Default RE: Just to lighten up a bit...

It seems simple enough. If all you want is an inexpensive tank you can take out of the box, drive around, and even blow things away with the airsoft gun, then the HL is the way to go. Your are free to modify or kit bash away. If you are looking to "battle" with three or more tanks, and you don't want to resort to "I got you... no you didn't" then you get a Tamiya with he Battle System. If you are into kit building then Tamiya would also be the way to go. We have people in our club that use HL's, but by the time you get done modifying the kit AND buying the Tamiya electronics, you really haven't saved very much money vs the Tamiya in the first place. To try and get around this, some of the people who wanted to modify the Bandai kits, bought a Tamiaya kit, kept the electronics, and sold the rest n e-Bay. As long as it is battle ready, and close to Tamiya 'STOCK' battle system, you can bring it 'n' battle it.
