Well, I am now more impressed with my HL Tigers! I took them to a family reunion yesterday - plenty of kids to take turns driving (grown up as well 6 to 9 year olds). Both tanks got a terrific workout at the hands of many. Including two dogs intent on killing them, a small red headed girl intent on smashing one of them and very steep hills with tree branches, wood chips, oyster shells and various unidentifiable obstacles all over the place! After one hour, the Tiger SS and non-ss were garaged in the back of my SUV and later at home I examined them closely. The only damage found was the main coppula hatch handle was ben flat on the SS tiger. Both tanks still had battery power left and one track was derailed. 15 minutes later all repairs were made. (of course, I had shut off the airsoft feature for obvious reasons). They are tougher than I thought!
Fun was had by all - now a couple of dads are interested in RC tanks!

Great story but where's the pics?
j/k...
Agreed that these are great for just bashing around and yet cheap enought to avoid the worries with those of us who're not experienced tankers. It was a good idea for you to bring them to the reunion, I'm sure the attendees will always remember the "tank event" as the highlight.
You just brought two with you, the only ones you have?

Yep! Just the two. No pics, my wife had the camera off in another area with the ladies and babies! This was one time I wished I had Tamiya's IR Battle System. Could have had a better wargame than with the BB's shut off! Still, everyone had good time. I thoroughly expected to have a trashed tank when it was done - pleasantly surprised! If they can stand up to an hour of 6 to 9 year olds that's good!

"Tanks" a bunch! Actually, this was my first attempts at model painting - not very good when compared to others I've seen, but better than when they arrived.
