Default israeli armour

Hi, I would like to build a merkava tank or a idf m113 (easier). I'm a quite good modeller but new to r/c.
Is there anyone who has an idea of a tank kit that could serve as "base" for one of the two above. I'm not capable of making new drive wheels, tracks and so on.

If this gets to complicated I'll start with modifying a Tamiya 1/12 humvee to idf colours and markings. But I'm having problems with finding the Tamiya kit in sweden...

New Millenium Toys was selling 1/18 M113s in Walmart, do you have those stores there? Sometimes you can find them on e-bay. Not sure how easy it will be to convert for rc.

I couldn't find the m113 but tankzone sold the hummer with shipping for £179, it'll be a start on my R/C building.

The Tamiya Leopard 2A6 #5606 will be the best base for a Merkva that is RC. Most modern tanks can be built up from this base.

My thoughts exactly. It has seven roller like the Mercava. It would aslo be perfect for the Abrams, exept for the gap between the first and second wheels on the Abrams. I've always wondered why noone produces an M1A1 conversion for the Leo. I would buy one in a heartbeat.
