chassis re-enforcement plate

Hello!
I have got metal tracks for my T1. To avoid hull twisting, I am planning to make chassis re-inforcement plate.
Will it be enough? Or will I have to do more upgrades to keep the gears safe?
Regards,
Eugene

Hello Eugene
I would recommend a stronger idler axel as my metal tracked Tiger broke its idler axel (cast metal) usning the metal tracks after a year and a half!
The hull can be significantly reinforced with the speakerbox mounting by bolting it in the four corners through the lower hull fender!
By the way, idler axel breakage occured with NO gear reductions, which tells me the metal tracks are hard on the system.
