Do these come standard fare on the Tamiyas? And, doesn anyone have a source where one with the mounting bracket could be found? Or, Tom, perhaps you could part with one - I bet you have several laying around extra? Thanks for welcoming me back, by the way.

I was just talking about the machine gun, which is what he was asking for, not the tanks themselves. I havent looked at their pricing on tanks.

I was talking about just the machine gun sunny - I went to your site - those tanks shown don't have the little fluid container for the smoke it appears from the picture. I also found it interesting that there were no prices listed. I did a fake order to see what it would come up with - all nonsense information - and it said my order would be shipped - strange indeed.

Sorry, but this is the last post I will make about this
Sunny, the original poster in this thread is looking for a turret mounted machine gun for a 1/16th tank that he already has. Hes not looking for a site to buy another tank. I simply pointed him to a site that sells what he is looking for. If you look at the second link I posted, you will see a picture of what (I think) he is looking for, and its not a tank or anything else that you sell on your site. Hes not looking for a spring activated handgun...he is looking for a 1/16 replica of a machine gun that mounts on the turret of his tank.

Perhaps if Templar told us if he wanted a US M2HB .50 cal, or a German MG34 or MG42, or possibly the modern MG3 from the Leopard line?
The US .50 is still available from Tamiya, but its often on backorder (0225094, W & Y sprues) and if you're in the US, it can often be ordered cheaper from Karen at the AAF Tank Museum PX. There is also a metal-cast version, but that runs upwards of $30
The German MG42 can be scavenged from a Tamiya figure or from the King Tiger, but is also reproduced in metal from said parts. Prices run about $15 bucks; check out the RC Panzershop ( http://www.rcpanzer-shop.de/ ) Markus is a good guy! The MG34's around seem to be repro'd from the poor Bandai one, and if you go that way, may as well blow for a Verlinden one and get the ammo boxes too.
The MG3 from the old Leopard 1A4 is out of stock, but its being repro'd in metal as well, runs just over $20 US a pop, but comes with everything to put it on the turret ring-plate of either 1A4 or 2A6. I cannot report on it yet, as I'm awaiting the end of the month to see if funds are available for order (Need a few for resto of my pair of 1A4's)
Hope that helps ya out.

Well whitewolf, that was plenty - thank you. Your fellow's shop shows as closed for now. I am looking for a cupola mounted mg34 to add to my Tiger 1. I think sunny is clearly prospecting the gang. I'm still not certain why he was trying to sell us BB handguns but oh well.

Hi Templars
The best way I have found to get the MG43 gun is to buy Sprue B for the Tamiya King Tiger. The advantage of this is you also get a lot of other stuff into the bargain including a set of deck tools, a nice jack, fire extinguisher and other bits. One point though is that the MG and mount was as far as I am aware was not fitted to the early Tigers, only the mid and late versions. Both Tamiya and HL tigers are early variants so in theory should not have the gun on the cupola. Are you doing a conversion? I am nearly finished my one.
