Does anyone have the old Tamiya 1/16 RC Leopard 1A4 in basically any shape?
Looking to get one in reasonable shape (drivetrain etc) that I can strip down and convert to a C1 or C2.
Can be stripped of RC equipment. I'd love an un-built one but beggars can't be choosers....
Thanks

Must have sold, it's not there now that I can find.
There was a complete A4 kit recently but the "fellow" would not ship to Canada no matter what. No idea what his problem is or was, but to bad, it was an un-built kit.
Still looking...

I have two part queen leopards, in average condition, they are in australia though. I may be willing to sell one of my better ones too.

Basically, bits missing, not 100% good condition. I can take some pics of the various ones I have, as I wouldn't mind getting rid of one. I do have two others in good condition.

my friend, the reason is that it is remote control version, not rc version. you got to know the difference. i only like rc version everything. the seller has his own reason to ask a lot. but I can not afford it.

Ok, two auctions have appeared.
One is that same pain in the "*#&#*" guy that refuses to ship to Canada and expects all International Bidders to have US shipping addresses.... What is up with that... sheesh.
The other looks good but has already bit well up into the $200+ range and still has 7 days left, I'll keep watching that one just in case.
I noticed the box says "Suitable for Radio Control", I assume this is the model I want?
Thanks
Tim

I just found the manual online at Tamiyaclub, that is rather cool.
However in the reviews it says this tank only had basic movement control, there was no control of the turret and it had major issues climbing (unless driving in reverse).
Looks like it would be a project to convert it to a full-function RC.
I might just start with the Leopard 2A6 so I get nice and spoiled and then go for nostalgia... heh.

That's a waste of money. It's the remote version like Tomzag said. You could buy an an r/c A4 for under $300 if you are paitient. I know because I passed up on 3 of them because I wanted an A6. You just have to patient and vigilant. The sweetest deals come to those who wait. Besides, that guy's asking for NIB Bruiser/Mountaineer cash. Absolutely ridiculous[&:]

Will do!
How can I tell the difference between the two models?
Now that I think about it, I think I owned the Gepard as a child that as "suitable" for remote control... wow that brings me back.
Thanks again
