Default Request to RC Universe admin

As the moderator just pointed out , this Tank forum is responsible for the most 'post reports' than any other section of RC Universe.

So how can we help both ourselves and the moderators out.

The first thing is to keep your finger off the 'report' button, that will save the mods a lot of work. Get a thicker skin, let the mods decide what stays or goes in their own time. Otherwise I fear they might decide to do away with the RC Tank forum altogether.

Second,a lot of the arguments would be avoided if we had specific sections for the various brands/scales, then people who actually know what they are talking about can have discussions and help out newbies who post in a specific section.

Suggested categories would be.

Tamiya 1/16th tanks
Bandai 1/15th tanks
Heng long tanks.
Large Scale tanks

What other categories should we have?

Please add your thoughts, if there's enough support, maybe admin will take on the idea and see it as an effort on our part to make their job easier, settle things down, and make the forum more user friendly for everyone..

On one hand, it would probabaly stop some arguments. On the other you could break it down into Tamiya tanks with metal track, Stock Heng Longs, blah blah blah, until you are left with everyone having their own section.

I would have to vote yes on this because I just get tired of seeing the same bs over and over again. Divide the sandbox if we must. [&o]

You might want to throw in Trumpeter/WSN. I'm doing a buch of conversions based on their t34, plus trumpeter could very well release another 1/16 tank down the road. Those interested in the 1/6 Stuart could post their stuff in the Large Tanks category (1/10 to 1/4) scale.

If you look in the Glow Engines Forum you will see different threads like:

Welcome to Club Saito...and Club Magnum, and such. It is in these threads that
Members with the same interests gather to have some fun, and discuss the
things they have in common. Outsiders are shunned, along with the naysayer's
and the "'yer' stuff sucks" gang.

Try it....the sand box will have to be "sectioned off" by you Guys. Good luck. [sm=thumbup.gif]

I really enjoyed, up to a point, all the HenLong vs. Tamiya threads!! The posting contained a lot of smarts and humor. A thread along this same vein was recently deleted. I believe that we should hold these discussion in the "Clubhouse" forum on RCUNIVERSE, where virtually any rc connected topic can freely be discussed. Topics such as the one recently deleted are frequently offered for disussion on the "Clubhouse" forum. Imagine how many more people we might reach if we would post such "off-topic" discussions on the "Clubhouse" forum. Not only could the discussion be more interesting, but we might get more folks involved in the hobby of tanking.

Yeh, shut up. if you haven't got anything critical to say about someone else's tank, don't say anything at all.

This is GREAT! This exactly what RCU is about!

I will forward this to the "Powers that Be" and see how we can make this happen!

My wife thinks that I am crazy, but when I win the Texas Lottery I will have a big shin-dig every few months. I will not only invite all of you guys, I will pay airfare or gas mileage so everyone can come to my house and drive the Sherman I plan to buy. Oh yeah, we can also have battles on my custom battlefield, too.....no joke. Now, all I have to do is pick the correct numbers.......

Won't that be the bee's knees?!!

Jason, I have permission, if we win lotto , to buy a huge warehouse and build an indoor battlefield; dreams are nice!

Well it looks like the mods are going to be supportive of our idea to the powers that be, it's much appreciated, thanks!. Lets see what other 'category' suggestions are made, then I'll revise the list to see if thats what we want to submit.

Exactly why do you take it upon yourself to start advising what the others should do or not do? I want to know on what authority you do this - are you the tank prophet the book of AFV speaks of?

Secondly, how many of the nasty arguments have been started because of direct critisim from YOU regarding your attitude towards Heng Long products and those who have them? Countless!

Lastly, lets see if you practice what you preach and avoid hitting the report button and develop the kind of thick skin you feel all of us others need to have. And for the record, your mouse button has hit the report button a good many times to be sure. I feel like at least I have an understanding with Tom in order to be civil.

If you really want the peace you have been pretending to be about to the new posters, then lets see if you can tolerate this post and my views.

Lets see how long this post stays.

The mods will see this attack for what it is in their own time, I note you have nothing constructive to add to the subject matter of this thread. Please leave me alone.

You can try to change you stripes all you like - you are the same thing you have always been - instigator and fake. You have no integrity at all little man and by all means be my guess - hit your little button up there you are so accustomed to using.

must have offended some members ,i was thinking too loud.
i think i that i have fallen in that vicious circle that go on .[&o]
i dont want to get in bad terms with someone here for a rc.

I think it would be just dandy! I would like to see a 1/6 scale forum - if I don't get beat up for having a cheap stewie. In that case, I would like see a Cheap Stewie Forum.
