it is supposed to be a "J".
In that case, it doesn't appear to be correct. All the pics of J's i've seen didn't have the bolts on the armor. To me, it looks like an L or M.

It looks like the second J from this site: (about 80% down)

SdKfz 141/1 Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf. J

I see, must be an upgraded later J...

What I really want to know is, how long till it's for sale?

Yeah ... the PIII isn't a monster tank, but that's what the battlefields are lacking, more light and medium tanks, especially on the Axis side!

I doubt this tank will be very popular.

The thread is only three pages long, with almost 1,000 views so far. [sm=lol.gif]

What's really cool is that the Mark III chassis can be made into Stugs as well.

i think the scale just looks great !!
i do `nt know why germans thinks is bigger , probably because of the walker b. , their are also happy that it is an axis model, hl fairness in service +++.

i have a hunch that this one is gonna be the best one .
also suspecting something special about that hull m.g.(led illum. at minimum).

nice post,
but sorry, you have forgot an important thing...

you forgot to say ,
once those 10 tanks are in your hands,
the price has a little more then doubled with:
the import taxes(duty),broker, storage fees(5h or 1week is about the same $),gas and shipping boating fees.

the profits (resellers) are very small(10 to25$),they have to go post them to(package-time)
and the trouble with the clients of defectives ones (just to make 20$).

forget about returning defectives one(shipping is higher then the tank`s price)
they wont send you another one unless :
you pay the shipping(seams expensive for them) or with your next order.

regards

darksaber33:

If you can contact anyone higher than your 'manufacturer' lady-friend, please let them know that the major problem with dealers is Quality Control. Most here will probably agree with me on this (failing smokers and other problems)

I've also just been told that Mato Toys Canada may NOT be bringing in this new tank (and possibly any HL tanks) because of these quality problems. I suspect that Mato is no longer making very much on them, and its now a loosing proposition for them.

If these HL tanks survive on the market, it may only because Walmart and Toys'R'Us bring them in, and ~will~ accept a dead/malfunctioning unit back for replacement or refund. And even then, they may give up to. How many of you want to take the risk of an internet or eBay dealer thats charging you more for shipping than for the tank itself?

I was a computer tech for a computer sales/service company that got suckered into being QC for a few companies, so I know how this can kill a company. I was laid off due to budget cuts after a year, and a year after that, the company was dead.

Speaking as a Tamiya owner that WILL buy a HL Walker Bulldog.

Thanks for the pictures of the new tank! I think Heng Long would make a lot of money if they made an M4 Sherman, like a M4A1 and then they can release different varients or kits to make your own, Isn't the M18 on the same chassis more or less? Cast and Welded Hulls, the options are many indeed!

That is a really good looking prototype.

How does it scale especially in relation to the Tiger it is photographed with? It appears sizably smaller which is good.

Thanks,
