Default Splicing DMD/MFU

Ok all you electronic buddies, I'm wanting to save some cable madness in my KT and would like to know if the DMD/MFU can be spliced together (get rid of the 2 into 1 adapter). Has anyone done it, any problems, can it be done at all? Any feedback would be appreciated.

OK guys, I know that ya'll have thought about this, especially the pershing fellas, would it burnout the DMD/MFU? I noticed that they are two different guage wires.

I cannot see how it would burn anything out. By splicing all you are doing is removing the plugs from the system. As for the wire size it is most likely different because the DMD has a larger power draw and needs larger wire to handle the current without burning up the wires. After all it supplies the power to the gear boxes and under high demand situations the gear boxes will draw more amperage. The MFU most likely has a lower current draw that remains constant.

I have them spliced to a single male deans connector and then use female deans connectors on my batteries to save space in both my pershing and my sherman.
