New HL Bulldog
looks great
sadly 10 minutes of play the gun stopped firing
red light lights up and dims (possible short)
no sounds of the bb's loading or the gun firing
any help appreciated
if its possible to maybe upgrade electronics and gun

RE: New HL Bulldog
Ah, good old caveat emptor.
If you had been lurking on this forum prior to your purchase of this tank you would have noted all the deficiencies. Regardless of that, you're here now so rule #1:
Discard the BB's that came with the tank as they are very substandard, bargain-basement grade. They're not perfectly round, have molding seams, sprue stubs and other imperfections that preclude them from being anywhere near your airsoft gun. They might be the sole blame for your gun problems (most likely jammed your gun). Purchase some premium grade BB's and have at it. Wal-Mart, for instance, usually stocks Crosman brand glow-in-the-dark 6mm BB's that are quite excellent.
Standby for rule #2...

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Shenloco is correct. Sounds like you will have to un-jam your gun or fix the wiring if that is the case so some disassembly will have to be done.
Standby for details on M41 disassembly. I'm sure an M41 tanker will assist you sooner or later.

RE: New HL Bulldog
Not sure if you're making statements or asking questions but it is possible to upgrade the airsoft gun and/or the tank electronics.
It's been happening ever since the introduction of the Heng Long tanks.
But Mato Toys sells a lot of replacement parts for the HL series so if your gun goes completely kaput, direct replacements are available.

RE: New HL Bulldog
You found the right site--that is Mato no doubt. However, you need to go to their Accessories page:
http://www.matotoys.com/canada/index...55398b3f5abac9
There you will find about 4 pages of parts. I do not see replacement boards, airsoft units or even the complete turrets listed but Mato has stocked them before--he may just be out of stock.
Another source for all that and more is [link=http://www.tankzone.co.uk/cart/tz_henglong.htm]TankZone[/link]
Very comprehensive assortment there.

RE: New HL Bulldog
if are wanting to upgrade the electronics you could get the 1:16 clark moule and use standard radio gear, the module is due for release in april 2007.
they also do a IR battle unit that is 100% compatible with the tamiya battle system, so you can have battles with your friends or at your local club.
