Bandai Tanks
I should in the next few weeks be getting a few bandai tanks, basically a Panzer IV and a Hummel, couldn't pass up the price, even though I'm starting to get too many tanks . Can anyone point me to sites with more info on these tanks, such as online manuals etc?
thanks

RE: Bandai Tanks
www.uktank.org is a good place to start. Be careful though Bandai gearboxes have a tendancy to self destruct. Also get a set of the metal tracks if you plan on driving it at all. The plastic tracks are disgusting and will not hold together. The P4 will require alot of details added to it and has an inaccurate lower hull and rear hull details. The stug4 has more correct details in that area. the best way to handle the gearbox issue would be to refit a set of tamiya gearboxes into it. I use them in my stug and it will go up slopes that the leo2 has difficulty with. If you would like some pics of the metal tracks i can get them for you at the snap of a finger. The track set i got also comes with a set of metal drive sprokets and rear idlers. I also made a tensioning setup similar to the tamiya sherman on my stug this way you can take up the excess slack as the tracks set in.

Pretty good reading material on how did their Bandai project!

RE: Bandai Tanks
Received these a few months ago, finally got around to taking some pics, they look to be in great condition, but I think I will keep them as shelf queens, don't really want to risk damaging them
