Default Interior Colours?

Do you paint your interior, if so what colour and what type of paint? I was thinking of something like high gloss radiator paint as this will wipe clean easily and be heat resistant. Any ideas?

Default RE: Interior Colours?

Gloss or semi-gloss white paint was usually used in tank interiors to make the best of any available light and to reflect and disperse it around the tank. If it is a display tank and much of the interior can be seen, then the interior is painted. The only portions of mine painted are the immediate areas around the hatch openings.

Contrary to popular fashion, the insides of crew hatches were not painted white as these are often propped open and could easily represent a target for an enemy to draw a bead on.

As for the need for heat resistance, these tanks don't get that hot inside...
