Im such a cheapskate..carved my own crates
as it says on the tin , used blocks of wood { 1/16th scale } and carved them to shape, dirted them up and voila....anyways you can see for yourself.

yep , there are for the pershing overhaul Took me about 8 - 10 hrs of work on them lol

Very nice job! I wouldn't say you're cheap, you just want them to look a certain way and the best way sometimes is to do it yourself!

Nice job. If your simulating wood boxes, Why not use wood? Painting plastic is much harder.
I build mine out 3/32nd of basswood sheet that already has the score marks in it. Each box takes about 5 minuites. Decals are from the Tamiya kits. I apply them with elmers glue and they stay on great. Also has some xacto damage for more realism.
