Actually The sdkfz-184 Ferdinand was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and the chassis of his Tiger tank design was used as the chassis since his company had constructed 95 units before the design was rejected in favor of the Henshal chassis.

The Elephant was an upgraded Ferdinand.
