Default Fun in the Snow - The Video

Here are two short videos of my 1/16 HL Walker Bulldog S&S driving through the fresh powder snow. The tank has metal gear and stock plastic tracks. No silicone spray was used on the tracks.

You can also right-click to save each video to your local hard drive. Enjoy.

That was freaking awesome!! notice how the rear end would just drop and it would "tank" over the snow?

also that was an awesome climb back up to the snow!

I took the risk of driving the tank down to the frozen pond (on the left side in the video) without knowing how thick the surface layer of ice was. Luckily the tank did not crack the ice and did not sink [X(]

I tried the HL Panther in the same snow, and it didn't do so good. The drive sprockets got jammed after 6-7 feet.

Theres No doubt in my mind now that the bull dog is the best tank of the HL line up!
Other HL's would have been grounded mainly the tiger's and panthers!

Looks like fun!!
Great job!

Nope, the T-34 doesn't have much ground clearance, and there is not much space around the drive sprockets and idler wheels. My T-34 stalled after 3-4 feet in the snow.

strange..mud and snow are totally different when the tanks are driven in the them..

My Tiger when it hit the thick sticky mud grinded down to a halt while the T34 was happy and ran in the mud all day..

I hope it snows here soon..it's killing me that it hasn't snow yet here in OHIO of all states..[:@]

We just got 6 more inches of snow the day before yesterday in Utah. BUT ALL MY TANKS ARE IN TRANSIT! They are missing out on the snow.

This is ironic because up here in the Pacific Northwest, we rarely get snow in the Winter.

Those of fantastic videos! What kind of video camera do you use?

Hope "in transit" doesn't mean lost in the snow...

Cheers...

Thanks. I use a Sony DCR-HC21 HandyCam, which is small, lightweight, and relatively inexpensive. It has a touch-screen color LCD and 20X optical zoom. Picture quality is superb. The videos you saw were compressed to Windows Media Video (WMV) format for internet use, so picture quality has been degraded in order to keep the file size small.

Thanks, Richard. The kids have been bugging me to get a video recorder, so I'll check it out.

Cheers...
