So, hello to those who I regularly chatted with, as well as the lovely few I jousted with from time to time. Someone fill me in on the latest regarding the Heng Long line. I see they have released or about to release a Panzer IV or III?

Hello Templars83
Yes, HL has released short time ago a PzKpfw.III Ausf L. It´s a well made tank, with minor scale faults and is currently sold in two versions, "Smoke & Sound" with metal gears, and non S&S with plastic gears.
Hope it helps

Yup, the gearbox is an upgrade from the distributors (I said "is sold"), but the tanks come in two versions.

But they're both S+S it's just that one has had metal gears fitted. They sell two bulldogs both have S+S.
I don't think that HL do non S+S tanks anymore.

Read carefully, even the ref. nr.is different WS20012-1 and WS20012. In the description of the WS20012-1 it says "can smoke", the Nr. WS20012 doesn't mention smoke....

The 2nd bulldog has sound but it doesn't say anything about smoke, so is this a sound only Tank?
I think the ref no. is different because one has a metal gearbox.
Like I said before I don't think HL make non S+S tanks anymore. Who'd buy them when the S+S versions are so cheap.

maybe "can smoke refers to the HL elctronics

But the Bulldog WS20011 has sound but this doesn't say anything about smoke yet the picture shows a S+S tank.
Maybe they forgot to add smoke to both listings, as I've said I don't think HL make the non S+S tanks anymore.

Hi Templars. Glad to see you're back and still alive and kicking.
We have quite a few new 1/16 tanks and/or armored vehicles that are new for '07:
Matorro Sturmtiger
Matorro King Tiger
Trumpeter/WSN Tiger I
Xion SdKfz 222/223
And of course the Tamiya Panther.
Matorro is very much Heng Long by another name. They use the same-looking transmitter and some components are similar.

I saw where Trumpeter was releasing a 1/16 King Tiger static kit but there was no mention of any cooperation with WSN, thereby making it an RC vehicle.
What and where are your sources, may I ask?
