Davis,

Not in Central California, but we are a bit farther south - about 240 miles farther. If you are ever in the area during a battle, let us know. We have a few hard cores from Arizona (DAK) that regularly make the 5 hr + (each way).

UK Tank Club

Established in 2000 the UK Tank Club exists to promote radio controlled model tanks & AFVs of all scales in the UK. The club was formed to allow model tank enthusiasts to come together to display and run their models and to share ideas & techniques for the benefit of all. To this end the club attends events throughout the UK to spread the word and seek new members. Children are welcome with members at our events but at the responsibility of their parents!

Curently we have about 2 events every month running up and down the country, multiple events on public holidays.

Q. What do I get from being a member of the club?
A. As much or as little as you like, see some of the benefits below.

1. Access to events to display or run your models.
2. The club has its own lively internet forum.
3. 3rd party liability insurance is included with membership.
4. Members across the UK and contact with other clubs across the world.
5. Discounts from various suppliers

My self and a freind of mine will be forming an RC tank club based in Delaware. This will be called the 3rd Armored Spear Head divivsion. This club is being formed with an online gaming clan of the same name. We have found many of our members either have rc tanks or are interested in getting into the hobby. some of you may know us under the {SHD} Red Orchestra clan. My online name for the RO clan is {SHD}scianblood. The founding member of {SHD} is known as {SHD}metalbourne. If anyone in the Tri state area would be interested in joining this club you can contact me here or at the {SHD} web site. i'll have more info once metal gets me some graphics I can post on this forum.

michelekingtiger signed up on theUKforumalready and I've approved him, but our email confirmation is broken - Ive lost count of how many potential members signed up but never came back because of this problem...
Hopefully we can get that fixed tomorrow when we upgrade to V2.0 of the forum software

Many folks from this forum also signed up and then never came back - if you signed up and haven't been back, butwant to -please PM me!? I'm looking to do some spring cleaning and I'd hate to whack anybody who wanted to be a member

As for being the youngest,a 15yoruns our forum and our president brings along his son - currently 10 (I think?)- so you're in good company Michele...

We are a new Tank Club in Michigan, Detroit Tank Command. I have been working on this for a couple of years, and now with the help of a few other guys we are getting the club launched. We are actively enlisting members. We have posted club informaiton on the web site for your review and consideration. Please take time to read this information andvisit our forum. We welcome your opinions and comments. If you live in the Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Canada (Windsor) area, you're not that far from us, test drive our web site and consider joining our group. We have various enlistments available depending on what level of participationyou want to be involved with. Let us know your thoughts, what would you like to see in an R/C tank club. Take a look at our site at www.detroittankcommand.com.

Again, we welcome your comments.

Hi Tankmatt,

I am currently getting approval for the construction of a RC race course and tank battlefield in a new park here in northern NJ. If you are interested please join out yahoo group and I will keep you posted. I am 2 hours south of Albany NY.

Are their any tankers or tank clubs located in the Central Florida region? Mainly from Daytona to Orlando areas. We have 3 tankers looking for either a club or other RCrs in the area.

Well it's been awhile since I've had something to say on this forum. The FCAD club in Jacksonville,Florida is finally building it's new battlefield. It is going to be located behind HobbyWorld on 103rd Street.Construction is going slowly but presently there is one river dug and 1/3rd of the second. The plans are all drawn up and on Saturdays they have a work party building the battlefield. We will have both the Tamiya type 1/16th and 1/24th scale use the battlefield.so I guess my next purchase will be a 1/24th something? You can call Greg (the owner) of HW for further information.
