I'm sorry to bother again with another airbrush question but I was wondering if could use my garage air compressor to run an airbrush. I have a regulator on it so I can reduce the pressure to quite low and I have a water "filter" for it as well. If I can use this compressor, do I need some type of adaptor hose because I am certain my 3/8" line won't work with a little airbrush. Thanks for any help!

Yes that will work fine. Your airbrush should have come with the necessary hardware, but if it didn't you should be able to find what you want at a hardware store.

I have used my shop compressor with my airbrush quite extensively. The adapters you need should be redily available at your local hardware store or the dealer that sells airbrushes and their accessories. One thing to watch out for though is to insure that you disable any automatic oiler if you compressor is equipped with one. Oilers are great when running air powered tools but make a mess when mixed with the air that is used to drive your paint. Also using a seperate dedicated hose is warrented in this case as the hose used with the oiler will have oil contamination in it.

Lots of good advice, only thing I might add is, I like to use a short hose after the filter to minimize condensation. I will put my quick connect on the end of the 6' airbrush hose and connect it to the filters.[sm=wink_smile.gif]

should work great!
