Default Pershing periscope question

What color are the glass covers on the commanders cupola periscopes on a Pershing? Better yet would color would the periscope glass look like from the outside? I checked Hunnicuts book and a Google image search and couldnt find this bit of info. Clear? green tint? smoke tint? Thanks for any replys.

The glass is clear...if you want to make it really look good, drill out the plastic and fill the holes with Micro Glaze....Micro-Mark #80894. Costs a couple bucks and you just apply it at the corners of the hole and drag it across....when it dries, it looks like glass. Lots easier than cutting and fitting plexiglass, which I have been doing for years. Really great stuff. If you just want to paint over the plastic, use a very dark green or flat black and it will look OK..

Pattoncommanders right about the Micro Glaze, I pick some up after reading his tip on making clear glass the easy way and it works great, I've used it on all my tanks and started using it on some of my wood ships. Great Tip [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
