These tanks were made a few years ago by Megatech, in 1/20 scale. I know they used 7.2 packs, and I don't think they had any bells and whistles (turrent rotation, elevation, etc.). Does anyone know if the suspension works, and how good they run, maybe inside pictures? Is the body lexan (it has body clips)?

http://www.2badsheep.com/m1tank.htm -- looks really crappy (very inaccurate and ridiculously toylike speed). The only other Megatech thing I can think of is their missile-firing MLRS copy, but thats 9.6v
Other than that, theres Hobbyzone, VStank, Marui and perhaps a Heng Long that do 1/24 scale Abrams.

Well, I just won one on ebay for $10, and I know they were over $100 when they were released. It is still new in the box. I guess I'll see what can be made of it when it gets here.

Yeah, I'm trying to get back into R/C a little - with tanks, anyway. All my money lately has went to dirt bikes and my new (old) IROC-Z. I'm still trying to decide on a tank, and I bought the Abrams on a whim, since I got it for $10, I figured I couldn't go wrong. This Abrams is one of the newer releases from Megatech -- this one was probably made five or six years ago. It uses a 7.2 car pack like the HL tanks, has a twin stick transmitter, and body clips (?!!) holding the body on. I figured it would be good for something. I really don't know what "good" tank to get now. A Tamiya would nice, but I can't afford it right now. So the choices are: Pantiger, another HL Tiger, Shen's awesome Walker Bulldog he has on "the bay" for sale right now, or a VS or Marui tank.

Hey, Titan, did you ever get that Megatech tank? I'm quite interested to see how well it operates, because it sure doesn't look very good, but it is 1/20 scale which is what I need. So what do you think of it? Thanks!

Yeah I did -- and I gave it to my little boy. It could be made to look o.k. enough, but it is WAY too fast -- I mean like 1/10th scale electric buggy fast! Of course, it is kind of cool to roost around with!

HEY titan good to see you about aint seen you for ages[8D]
