Well, after several months off from rc tanking, I'm back in the game. My temptation finally got the better of me yesterday, and I ordered a VS Tiger 1 (Desert camo) from Tower Hobbies - with overnight shipping! (I had been watching Tower for weeks, and the tanks were out of stock until this week). The UPS man came before lunch bearing my new prize. Everything wasn't completely grand in tankville, however, as upon opening the box, I noticed the barrel muzzle had come off. No big deal, I stuck it back on there, and will glue it later. And one of the smoke launchers had broken off! And it was nowhere to be found! Oh well, I guess that will have to be fixed later. On to the good news. The tank is awesome! I previously had a Marui Tiger, a Marui Abrams, and a VS Leopard (as well as a Heng Long Tiger 1 and a HL Pershing). The VS tank has pretty cool engine sound, great machine gun and cannon sound, and the barrel recoil kicks ass. Driving around the office, it seemed to do pretty well. The camo and detail job is fantastic. One thing I did notice that was different on my tank and pictures from several months back of Shenlonco's Tiger 1's, is inside the battery compartment. The tabs for the batteries seem to be bent out somewhat (on the positive side), where in the pictures of Shen's Tiger 1 showed the tabs flat. Maybe I will be able to use rechargeable batteries without modifying the battery compartent (since it looks like the tabs are extended farther for the somewhat shorter rechargeables). All in all, I am very happy with my tank. Now the big decision for me is, to stay only in the 1/24 tanks, or buy a couple of HL's, too. Don't get me wrong, I love the size and modfication canvas of the HLs, but it is a crap shoot on electronics. On the other hand, for the most part, VS and Marui tanks are dependable as a Swiss watch.

My Feedback: (2)
Have fun with it they are nice ...i like the airsoft versions though you can shoot things up
My newer version that i got from toyeast had bent tabs ..if they don't reach your batteries just bend them out a little bit more that's what i did and it works fine.
Have fun with it...

Thanks. I thought those tabs may have been updated from the looks of things. Do you still have the Bulldog? I wanted to make sure had at least one tank that wouldn't break down, so I got a VS first!
I want to get another HL, I just know how many problems they have.

It's definately got the new controller. I think someone else has one of these on here. Shen did have one just like it. They are listing the Abrams for $119 at Tower now too with the same shipment, so I'm assuming this is one of the new ones, even though it shows the old picture. I'll try to post a picture in a few minutes.

I have 2 of the Vs Tigers The gray and the desert camo IR version. I wish Vs would come out with a Sherman or T-34/85 its not right having a Tiger on Tiger fight. Vs is coming out with a T-72, I can't wait I'll have to get one and a M1 in IR.

Awesome Leo. The Vs Leo I had (winter version) was the best going tank I owned. I agree with Killhammer, I REALLY want the T-72 when it comes out, and the Type-90, which surely will be out soon. How cool would it be to see a Sherman Firely in 1/24, a Leclerc, a Vs Panther. . .you get the idea.
