I am just back from both the SCAT battleday and IPMS nationals. I can say tanking is damn exciting even on the contest table. Check out the DAK website for the battle pics and the convention scale armor shots. Nearly a thousand armor models and dioramas, including the 43 piece Sherman Collection that won the best of show. I picked my favorites and I hope they are inspiration for future tank projects.

Hi Perry,
The captured su-100 is really a captured su-85.
And here is a funny story in regards to the su-85 pictured. I agreed to help my son Jonathan complete his su conversion, so
we spent the better part of Friday doing the internal wiring and testing of the su-85.
Upon completion, my son and I began the driving and firing tests for Saturday Night S.C.A.T. battle.
At about 1030pm all tests were completed successfully and my son was driving the su back to the garage, when the su-85 began turning circles on the sidewalk.
You can bet there were a lot of comments about that guy Murphy!
The problem turned out to be a spun drive gear in the left HL Gearbox(plastic gears).
So we stayed up till 2AM Saturday doing a complete gear box swap to HL Metal gear boxes(taken from his HL PzIII)
The operation was a success and the Su-85 made it's first combat meet and not without some success.

What?
The scent of grilling meat and mention of alcoholic (for those of legal age) beverages was very distracting to the enemy?
Or the stacked empties made nice obstacles to hide behind, and crushed ones made great tank traps?
*joking, of course*
Damn... I ~really~ miss being able to eat and drink (don't ask unless ya REALLY wanna know, and I'll only PM it)
